A series of short learning modules designed to provide a brief overview of a particular topic.
This table indicates the time which solicitors, barristers, Associate Prosecutors & other members of ILEX may claim as CPD for Prosecution College e-Learning, according to the SRA / BSB / ILEX professional rules.
Prosecution College e-Learning is accredited CPD activity for barristers, and therefore may count towards the whole of a barrister's CPD requirement.
Although it is unaccredited activity for solicitors, those solicitors with a Personal Development Plan (which forms part of the PDR form) may count the e-Learning towards 100% of their CPD requirements. For those solicitors without a PDP, it can only count towards their 75% unaccredited CPD activity requirement. Solicitor HCAs must complete at least 5 hours' CPD relating to advocacy in the first 5 years after qualification. Each individual must identify their own training needs, but those courses which may be suitable are indicated by **.
APs and other members of ILEX can count the e-Learning towards their specialist area of criminal litigation (Faculty of Law) or non-specialist area (Faculties of Leadership & Management and Business Support) of CPD activity as shown on the table.
Please refer to the CPD page on the Infonet Learning Zone for full information regarding your role-specific CPD requirements. It is an individual's professional responsibility to comply with the CPD requirements set by their professional body.
Please note that the stated CPD hours can only be claimed on completion of the full e-Learning course as listed here., including any evaluation module. CPD cannot be claimed for partial completion of only some modules within an overall course. Neither can individual modules from separate courses be aggregated together.
Broadly speaking, 'None' indicates that the course is too short for CPD to be awarded. 'N/A' means that it falls outside the relevant definition of CPD. 'TBC' indicates that discussions are ongoing with the relevant regulator as to whether the course can qualify for CPD.
